Mason Lockwood (Taylor Kinney) got the axe from The Vampire Diarieslast season (actually, his heart was ripped out but, details), and while the sexiest uncle ever is back in town, Mystic Falls isn’t the only place we’ll be seeing Taylor. According to Entertainment Weekly, Kinney has also been tapped to star in Alloy Entertainment’s latest made-for-the-web series,Dating Rules From My Future Self.
Kinney will star alongside Pretty Little Liar’s Bryce Johnson, Alison Becker (Parks and Recreation), Mircea Monroe (Episodes), and Life Unexpected‘s Shiri Appleby.
Dating Rules, a nine-episode, web-only series, won’t hit until January 2012, but production is slated to start this month. Appleby plays a 29-year-old woman who starts receiving text messages from her future self advising her to switch up her relationship patterns if she doesn’t want to end up old and lonely and hoarding hundreds of cats. (Okay, we made that last bit up, but it seems only natural, right?)
Considering we don’t know how long Uncle Mason’s ghost is gonna kick it in Mystic Falls, we’re stoked we won’t have to go through Kinney withdrawal for too long. Come January, his sexiness will only be a click away. The Internet is such a marvelous thing!
