Stefan Salvatore brooding ever so handsomely on Vampire Diaries.

Paul Wesley has been on such an amazing streak lately.  First, he gets to plunge deep into darkness and explore the “ripper” side of Stefan Salvatore onVampire Diaries Season 3. Second, he’s a top contenderfor the part of Count Paris inCarlo Carlei’s highly-anticipated Romeo and Juliet.  But best of all? Anna Carey, author of Eve (a story so engrossing that the producers ofThe Vampire Diaries are already developing it as a pilot), revealed that she’d love to see Paul taking on the role of Leif.
Here’s why Paul would be perfect as the troubled Leif:
We don’t love Leif. We understand that he is tormented —having our brother left to die in the woods would mess us up too—but we just can’t get over his attack on Eve. We almost don’t want our beloved Paul to waste his square jaw portraying such a character but we understand where Anna is coming from. Paul is talented and charming — if anyone could make us sympathize with Leif, it’s him.”
