Nina Dobrev Makes Heartfelt Gift To Sick Child

Nina Dobrev is more than just a pretty face. The Vampire Diaries star is also a caring person, evidenced by the fact that she decided to make the day of a sick child.

According to Nina's mother, a viewer of TVD wrote a letter to Nina explaining that her three-year-old nephew is ill and in so much pain he spends his whole day crying. The only thing that soothes him is Nina's voice.

"Shane just screams and cries all the time from his little body being in so much pain. Here comes the amazing part that not even his doctors can quite understand. When you come on the TV and he heard your voice he stopped crying and just watched," the letter read.

When Nina read the letter she was truly touched that she could help someone in such a way...and it prompted her to do more for little Shane.

So, for Christmas, Nina sent Shane a teddy bear that plays a recording of her voice whenever he presses a button on the hand. It was a very sweet gesture from a very sweet and down-to-earth actress.

While many actors and actresses don't have time to help others or don't have any interest, it's always nice to see one who does something nice for someone else. Nina Dobrev probably made Shane's life so much better and showed his family that just because she's a big movie star, it doesn't mean she isn't kind and caring too!
