What is happening with Stephen Savatore?

Back in 1864 when Salvatore brothers became vampires, was Stefan ( Paul Wesley ) who was greedy and bloody sarcastic. Damon ( Ian Somerhalder ) was a fly under the radar with a fixation on Katherine ( Nina Dobrev ). In fact, Stefan said he was "worse" than his brother ever was. Now that we've seen him turn a total Ripper, we are taking a closer look at how badly Stefan can be.
